About us
We are a small well-established earthmoving and logging company operating late model earthmoving equipment and a well-maintained truck & trailer fleet. Working in the domestic building, agricultural and forestry sectors. We offer a great working environment with opportunities to enhance and further skills needed to succeed in the earthmoving and logging environment.
Qualifications & experience needed for the role:
Qualified heavy diesel mechanic
Experienced Excavator & Compact Crawler Loader operator is a bonus
Ability to manage all aspects of our fleet maintenance and operate autonomously
HC or MC with Road Ranger experience is a bonus.

About You:
You must have high attention to detail in your work, present yourself professionally, be committed to working safely. Your ability to work with minimal supervision within a small team environment; display a positive, self-motivated attitude and be able to demonstrate sound problem-solving skills. You will be required to possess the skills to be able to maintain our equipment to a high standard. You will also be provided with the opportunity to work autonomously once you have been trained to have a clear vision and understanding of the role to this rewarding and exciting position.
You will need effective verbal and written skills, as well as basic IT skills for our app-based time management & WPS systems.
This position will be well suited to a mechanic looking to diversify into operating the machinery they are maintaining.

Tasks & responsibilities of the role:
Effective and autonomous management of all aspects of the maintenance of our road and site fleet.
Safe & efficient operation of earthmoving plant ranging from 5 tonne to 30 tonne excavators, compact crawler loaders, 12 tonne loader, tracked harvester & 8-wheel drive log forwarder.
Safe & efficient operation of tandem drive tippers, truck & trailers tippers and low loaders.
Onsite & workshop maintenance & cleaning of equipment
